The next meeting of the Greater Cincinnati Orchid Society will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2004.  Note that this is the first Tuesday of the month.  The meeting will be held at the Civic Garden Center on Reading Road across from Bethesda Hospital. The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.  There will be time to socialize between 7:00 and 7:30.

Program

This month’s program will be Pat June on Miltoniopsis. Members are encouraged to bring plants for door prizes and for Silent Auction this month. Refreshments will be provided by Donna Wirth and Jan Yates.

Plant Judging

AOS Judging of plants is done at the shows listed below under Nearby Shows as well as at the regularly scheduled judging sessions listed immediately below.  These sessions begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Civic Garden Center.  You are welcome to bring a plant to be judged or just to observe the judging.  Be a little early; plant registration is from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Bob Sanker is again offering members a chance for a great hands-on learning opportunity about orchids.  Those interested can contact him at webmaster@gardenersutopia.com .  Several members have benefited in the past when he made this available.  Jan Yates mentions that the time spent “ provided great training and she learned a lot”.
